A state-wide association working for petroleum dealers through representation, awareness, advocacy and member welfare.
A role model association for the dealer community.
During the 80’s, until the present team took over, AGM attendance used to be around 250+ dealers. With the District Associations becoming very active under the new team, attendance at the AGM has been phenomenal, with 3500 dealers participating year after year.
TNPDA worked with the national association CIPD and represented to the Government and OMCs seeking a hike in dealer margin and successfully got a decent hike in dealer margin. TNPDA was the first association which got a stay in Madras High Court followed by an appeal in the Supreme Court against the notified wages of OMCs.
TNPDA also joined as an intervener in Delhi High Court as directed by the Supreme Court in the notified wages case. This action was a huge relief to the dealer community.

Dealer Margins
Representations to Government and Oil Marketing Companies seeking fair dealer margins and better business conditions.
Legal & Regulatory Matters
Representing dealer interests on notified wages, taxation, labour and other regulatory matters.
District Development
Road shows and programmes to strengthen district associations and make them proactive.
Safety & Awareness
Regular awareness programmes on PESO rules, GST, TDS, operations and safety aspects.
Industry Representation
Representations on illegal bowser sales and other issues affecting the petroleum dealer community.
Education Sponsorship
Since 2020, an education sponsorship programme rewards top-performing children of retail outlet employees studying in Government schools.
